Awards
for KERAFOL®
Awarded: Innovative through research
Research and development are essential building blocks of KERAFOL®. Our strong commitment to constantly advancing innovation and manufacturing processes for ceramic films and technical ceramics is now reflected in the “Innovative through research” seal of approval from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The seal of approval is awarded to companies that distinguish themselves through special achievements in research and development. “We are very pleased about the recognition and appreciation of our work – and that we can now use the seal of approval to highlight our sustainable products,” says authorized signatory Willi Neumüller. KERAFOL® ‘s research links up with important partners such as universities, the Fraunhofer Institute and state institutions. “We are very well interlinked and networked – this allows us to benefit internally and at the same time make our practical contribution to science.” Successful collaborations have resulted from a variety of different projects in the areas of filters, substrates and heat conducting films. This cooperation benefits KERAFOL® customers in particular, who can rely on effective, high-performance solutions. KERAFOL® invests ten percent of its annual turnover in research and development. An investment that pays off on many levels. The “Innovative through research” seal of approval that has now been awarded is one of them.
Responsible action
We are delighted that our entrepreneurial activities have been recognized on many levels: The two labels from Achilles and Ecovadis certify that KERAFOL® lives up to its social, ecological and economic responsibility. Our corporate policy and manufacturing processes ensure the highest standards, benefiting society and the environment in equal measure. KERAFOL® has always attached great importance to sustainable management. Economical use of natural resources and protection of the climate and environment are important building blocks, but do not go far enough: fair business practices, employee-oriented personnel policy and serious local commitment as well as responsibility in the supply chain play equally important roles. The two “Corporate Social Responsibility” certificates are each based on well-founded reviews of companies – from internationally recognized reference documents on corporate responsibility to the ILO Declaration of Principles and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Preferred supplier of the Bosch Group since 2013
Robert Bosch GmbH has recognized KERAFOL® – Keramische Folien GmbH as a “Preferred Supplier” in the “Non-Metallic Materials” division of the Bosch Group. As part of the Bosch Preferred Supplier concept, Bosch Group suppliers are continuously evaluated. For each material field, the suppliers with whom Bosch prefers to work are selected on the basis of defined criteria. Classification as a “Preferred Supplier” means that KERAFOL® is seen as an important partner for ensuring Bosch’s competitiveness. Bosch concentrates its cooperation on suppliers that it considers to have above-average competence and performance.
“Entrepreneur of the year 2013”
A willingness to take risks, courage and a sense of responsibility – unique qualities that characterize successful entrepreneurs. With commitment, confidence and strong ideas for the future, they show new ways forward. On September 19, 2013, the Alte Oper in Frankfurt shone in festive splendor. The “Entrepreneur of the Year” competition celebrated Germany’s best entrepreneurs for the 17th time. The winners, selected by an independent jury, were honored for their outstanding entrepreneurial commitment. The award also recognizes employee orientation, innovative strength and future viability.
“Entrepreneur of the year 2012”
“Entrepreneur of the Year 2012” – only a few medium-sized entrepreneurs in Germany can call themselves this. They are characterized by outstanding economic success and exceptional growth.
Bavaria’s Best 50 – 2012
In 2012, the “BAYERNS BEST 50” award was presented for the eleventh time to the most dynamic companies in Bavaria. The award honors 50 companies that have shown particularly strong growth in recent years and have been able to increase their turnover and number of employees at an above-average rate. Such achievements serve as an important role model and motivation for SMEs and start-ups. However, in-company training is also a key factor for growth and sustainable success. It is also in the spotlight at BAYERNS BEST 50. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is therefore awarding two companies a special prize each for outstanding commitment to training in their own company. The “BAYERNS BEST 50” award took place on July 2, 2012 in the Kaisersaal of the Munich Residence and was presented by Minister of State Martin Zeil.
Bavaria’s Best 50 – 2008
Every year, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology honors the 50 fastest-growing medium-sized companies with the “BAYERNS BEST 50” award. Entrepreneurs who identify new opportunities for growth and employment and make consistent use of them are at the heart of our economy. They contribute to the economic prosperity of our state, which forms the basis for the high standard of living in Bavaria. The BAYERNS BEST 50 award recognizes this positive role of the entrepreneur and places it at the center of public perception. It honors particularly fast-growing medium-sized companies that have been able to increase the number of their employees and their turnover above average in recent years. Minister of State Emilia Müller presented the coveted “BAYERNS BEST 50” award on July 2, 2008 in the Kaisersaal of the Residenz in Munich.
